Hey folks, just had an idea tonight, and maybe the devs could find it interesting.
Isn't in the human history the Paladin intended as a Holy Warrior that brings the Light??
WELL.
Consider that Paladin is pretty useless right now, and it's good that warrior still have at least 2 defensive soul but:
- what do you think about Paladin if it should have a battle rez like Cleric's Justicar???
Well of course Justicar wouldn't be so unique anymore, that's fair to say, but put the situation that you are trying a new boss on 10 men, Justicar is pretty mandatory for the progress due to its battle rez, and you don't have a Justicar that evening... You could have instead a warrior taking the place of the Justicar and having a lot of fun!
I'd say for the placing, you could place it in the 41th point in soul tree, eventually lowering Shield Defense in the 8th row and taking away a poin from a 5/5 ability becoming a 4/4.
Furthermore, it would be very very nice in my opinion to allow some more hybridization with Liberator, for having a warrior tank a little more similar to the Justicar, who have passive 5 man healing with the Salvation talent:
You could let the Liberation Movement, Liberator's 2nd row talend, for example, heal 10 party or raid members, so in a 5 or 10 man instance using the Liberation Treatment talent could proivide an active (so it's correctly a little unadvantaged compared to Justicar) party heal.
On the Cons, the paladin, expecially in the 61 Paladin/15 Liberator setup, would correctly have less mitigation than VK, that would remain the best mitigation and best DPS tank, and would be slightly more difficult to heal for the ST Healer.
I think that with these changes the Paladin would become again a very useful and interesting soul to use expecially in 5 and 10 men, at the expense of some mitigation and dps
Paladin new ideas - give battle rez and Liberator hybrid?
