ultimate rift edition's minion slot unlock

ultimate rift edition includes an additional minion slot unlock.
Since minion slots get more expensive with each unlock, will this unlock increase the cost?
If so we should unlock 4 slots with credit first, before applying the pack (which will then unlock the most expensive 6th slot)?
