Not sure how this would work. I'd recently taken a Rift break and had played some Moba's during that time. Also have followed Overwatch a bit and played a tiny bit.
If Rift ever wanted to add another dimension to the game. Some type of Moba or Overwatch PVP where all players started every match roughly equal would be an interesting addition I would think.
It certainly would solve some of the issues with well geared PvE players by default being the best PvP players due to gear. It was defensible when the best PvP geared players were the best at PvP. But now its just indefensible. As was acknowledged by one of the devs on last Friday's live stream.
Why not a Moba model?
