Virus is a long-established, stable, end-game, progression raiding guild on the Deepwood server. We've been raiding at a high level from Vanilla to present, without absence. The strong leadership, guild structure and community atmosphere has allowed us to prosper since RIFT's inception. Average age is probably somewhere late 20s / early 30s; the youngest is 20 and the oldest is 40.

Our philosophy:

Look, this isn't rocket science or quantum physics (or so I have been assured by a real live physicist). Our expectations of raiders are high, but reasonable. We are looking for competitive, friendly, skilled and drama-free individuals to join our raiding team. The raid and guild is organized, and we keep things on an even keel. We have dedicated and highly competent class leads, but we expect you to take the initiative, and then ask for help/advice as needed. While players do tend to specialize, we value versatility. Depending on the roster, we can and will accomodate groups, but individuals sink or swim on their own merit. Seniority/tenure isn't the big deal that it is in other raid environments; we're fortunate to have some people tagged well over 3 years, but they're held to the same standard as anyone else - there is opportunity here for everyone.

New or returning?

If you're new/returning, or a bit short on gear, don't hesitate to apply; if you can stay alive (movement/mechanics) while generating output (dps/hps/support), gear comes quick. Yeah, yeah you don't want to be carried, but you need hit, eh? So grit your teeth and get over it.

Over the years many of our most capable raiders have joined when other raids decline, don't progress, or just plain stop. Keep us in mind when you or your group need or want to take another step. We'll be here.
