I've been brainstorming ways to hold guild related contests. So far, I've got a few (rift-centric trivia, human darts, naked runs through difficult areas, etc..) but I have an idea that I would love to try and need help to figure out a way to do it.
Hiding items inside a dimension and having ppl easter egg hunt for rewards would be a fun thing to do, imo. I could do this with any item (red pillows for example) by hiding 50-100 of them around guild dim, but this way presents an issue. Non-dim ppl don't have a grasp on picking dim items, resulting in them picking up the objects that the pillows are hidden behind - which becomes a mess. Also, any craftable dim item can be made inside the dim --- (hey i'll make myself 50 red pillows and be the big winner!)(derp).
I would love to see an item like an artifact that I could place in a dim, that could be picked up by allowed users without being in "dim interface" and returned at the end of the contest - or scored somehow like a pvp match. If not that, I'd like to be able to assign a plat value to a specific item that when picked up, rewarded the finder. I would like to see the items not be seen with a /tar macro, too!
I need ways to get an entire guild interested in an event, not just cross sections of the guild. Pvp group meets Pve group meets Dimfreaks meets casuals. My dream as a guild leader.
Any suggestions as to how to go about this would be appreciated -- any new items would make my day.
