As Skinwalkers we are friendly, helpful, and diverse. We are a level 30 guild currently working on end-game Raid Progression and world content such as Raid Rifts, NMRifts, PvP, and expert dungeons.

To answer your questions in order, it is a ST dps now with solid cleaving abilities in DoT spreading.This is a change that is actually one rooted in convention. Healers are where cleanses live. In terms of removal, purge is spread with a little greater variety, but make more sense for a dps than a cleanse does.

The Elders have always been an easy going guild with a relaxed emphasis on helping our fellow guild members and having a good time as we moved forward. Our plan has always been to progress into guild team runs & raids while maintaining a no-pressure, non-elitist, non-hard core approach.

So many of us have real life jobs and commitments that supply enough pressure - we don't want to get involved in a similar situation in this game. That being said, meeting challenges, testing our game skills and working together to achieve a solution to a tough scenario may wind some of us up briefly - but it need not be all humorless, hard core clamped down seriousness! This is a game - not a second job - and we are here to have fun!!

We believe it is possible to both kick butt in dungeons AND be a fun, friendly, casual type guild.

We believe there is a middle way between the merely social guilds and the hard-core raiders.

We believe in "medium-core"

We are looking for new people who share the same outlook as this guild. People who value long term game friendships, loyalty, support, humor & helpfulness. People who are in for the "long haul" as we work our way together progressing in Rift.

We have members who can tank - we have members who can heal - but these few cannot be expected to be available for everything all the time. Therefore tanks & healers are especially welcome but we will be delighted to have any and all classes.

We are a level cap guild presently working on the 10 person raids with an eye on the 20 person ones. Our raid night is currently on Thursday. We are presently working toward getting our second 10 person team back together for Monday evenings. Wednesday evening we do the PTW weeklies as a group. These events begin at 5pm Server Time. Thursday runs generally last 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Other guild group events may occur on randomly subsequent evenings.

If you are a mature adult with a sense of humor, a dash of patience and a desire to help a guild continue to progress and succeed in raids & runs as well as provide fun and assistance to the newest Rift players - please consider joining The Elders.

Launch problem

Hey guys, I've recently bought a new pc and installed rift. on my previous pc, rift was running properly but on my new pc, after starting play button it starts to install directx sdk (stuff like that)
after finishing installation opens game. I get character screen with only background i tried to uninstall and install again but it didnt work. I dont think there is something wrong with my directx because im playing many games without problem. only difference between my pc's is previous one was windows 7, new one is windows 10.
I need your help immediately !

Defiler DPS rework on PTS

In case anyone is interested, the Defiler rework is up on the PTS right now. And as always, just remember it's the PTS for a reason.

Some notable changes:

- Jealous Intervention no longer a cleanse but a 2 buff purge
- Only link retained is Link of Misery with a CD and a short 10s duration (like Warchanter)
- Unstable Transformation is now a personal DPS cd but you still get to be ugly!
- Lots of dots

If you have a Cleric on the PTS already with Defiler and you respec it, you might actually end up seeing all of the deprecated abilities (that do work.) You can relog or just respec a new role instead and you'll be good to go.

Edit:

Bugs/Feedback:
- Jealous Intervention is active as a purge on ally. I'm able to purge 2 buffs off of myself
- Feedback is still in the ability page despite not being in the root

- patch 3.6 : reaver, riftblade, para/pala hybrid (with the farmer's hat wardrobe)
- patch 3.7 : para/pala hybrid (with the other wardrobe)

NB : Most of the players I "1vs1" can easily defeat me in any other classic spec, even with the pala/para hybrid if i can't put enough pressure at the begening of the fight i'm dead vs melee with burst (para, sin, etc).
