FFX has http://ift.tt/1Y1XtUi it also has http://www.ffxiah.com/ and http://ift.tt/1OwPGGF and http://ift.tt/1jLgKcv so information is easy to find, on top of that there are the square enix forums.
WoW has wowhead which is their go to place, as well as reddit wow and mmochampion, other than the new reddit just made and rift forums which hardly any people visit, rift players have no real venue to get information out there. So I have a suggestion or two to help centralize information.
rifthead, it exists its part of the zam network just like wowhead, you guys that post your guides here should be posting them over there as well, and the reason I say this is because there is nothing more frustrating than searching for information that should be easy to fins.
The bgwiki thing i mentioned earlier is a linkshell-guild- called order of the blugarter- they added a wiki and forum to their linkshell's site as a way to get information out and players interacting with one another.
People as a general rule don't go to a games site for a variety of reasons, but they do look for the information they need, but on game forums alot of the time that information is either buried or outdated, but on a fansite that information is kept up to date either through responses or site managers.
Just something to think about for you people who work so hard to bring us game guides, and to share with us as much as you can. I think you do a fine job now, but you could be hitting a much larger audience with a minimal of effort.
