Poaching Guilds - Thoughts?

Our guild is pretty casual and we are just starting to raid.. We had to kick out a few bad apples and then after that they constantly badmouth our guild whether it be in X-events or by tells to people etc.. Do you simple ignore it and move on, or do you think it breaches anything in our basic *ethical* code as people in the community.

I have seen this happen to lots of guilds, but just curious what people do about it!

Thanks as usual!

Between those two choices, both. It's crappy, but at the same time, just shake the haters. As the one of the great philosophers of our time, Eminem, says, "Behind every successful person lies a pack of haters."

Besides, if they're having to bribe peeps with shinies, bags, etc., AND bad-mouthing your guild, it means they can't get by on their own merit-- so they whittle you down. Again, haters.

To be fair, with the current trend of peeps mostly only able to start raiding by joining a guild, guilds are often reduced to stepping stones in raid progression. Makes a ton of sense to join a guild until you get as far as they can get, jump ship and join a guild with more progression, repeat until you're full T3 geared. It sucks, but with this pervasive "all about me" mentality, you do what you gotta do.

Let's block ads! (Why?)
