In terms of an overclocked CPU for Rift. I am looking at either a i5 6600k or an i7 6700K. I know that the 6700K has higher single thread performance than the 6600k, but how will it impact my game play? Do hyperthreading impact Rift at all?
I play at 1440p on an i5 3750K with a mild overclock and a gtx 780. However CQs and some Raid encounters drop to sub 5 fps even at very low graphics settings.
What my new system is going to look like is now 2x GTX 780s and either then 6600k or the 6700k both with a more aggressive OC and liquid cooling.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated as I am going to be ordering parts in the next day or two.
