Mouse having left/right clicking issues

Hey guys! Just started today, I have tried 3 different USB mice: Theron Gaming mouse (default), logitech wireless and MS optical wired and all are doing the same thing in Glyph and Rift: left or right clicking on any active link, option, etc., results in no action; the pointer is moving so if I move it to the "X" to exit the login screen, I see the "X" turn red when I click it, but no action. However, with Glyph up or closed, I can use (move, point and click left/rift) the mouse normally in all other windows and applications. My Theron driver is up-to-date, but using the default MS Windows driver for the Logitech wireless and MS optical wired.

What precipitated this was, while crafting in Rift in Meridian, all of a sudden the mouse pointer just went all the way to the left of the screen and stayed there: couldn't move it and clicking had no effect - had to kill the process via task manager. Mouse worked fine to do that. Rebooted my system, check my USB polling, okay; checked drivers, okay; went diag mode, all okay; no errors in events or Dxdiag (ie., Input -> mouse attached and no errors). I use "Fresh Diagnose" program to check my system, no errors or faults.

Tried other MMO's I play (I know apples and oranges) like FFIV, Secret World and ESO, and no mouse issues. Any ideas? Right now Rift is unplayable: I can get past the Glyph login by using the keyboard arrows and tab, and can left click the "Play" button; on the character screen I can scroll through my characters and click to login on any of them and click play; but when I get into the Rift game itself, the mouse pointer is NOT visible, I can't click on anything in the game, left or right, but if I use the keyboard and bring up the "options" menu via "esc", I can "see" the mouse highlighting the selections but cannot click on anything. Weird!

Please help.
