Quick way to get to maximum level

since this is asked in a number of threads. Warning - a lot of the best content is at lower levels and if you blow through it you may miss the best parts of Rift. But to each his or her own and if all you want is PvP or raids go for 65 fast.

Create character and go through your faction's tutorial. Faction has become an aesthetic choice at high level it simply doesn't matter any more. Do starter quests at least to level 10. Get the tutorial weekly quest to do 30 instant adventures. Open your level 10 free ascended trove to get a good weapon (useless for ranged rogues) and some currency. If you have some void stones from the trove or zone events or certain rare but easy to kill mobs get the very cheap chest armor, leg armor and if needed weapon from the rare planarite vendor at Ardent Glade South (Guardian) or King's Retreat (Defiant). It will help a little even in instant adventures.

Note - there are potions to give you 40% 80% or 160% bonus experience. If you have unlimited potions use them as desired. If not they are best saved for 60 and up where it gets much slower.

Do intrepid adventures (much better experience than instant adventures and Mind of Madness is faster than Hammerknell). to level 48.Yes intrepid adventures count towards the "instant adventure" weekly which they didn't bother to correct when they added intrepid adventures.

Get quest in mailbox and use the ambassador near your capital's portal to go to Duskan or Brevane in the Storm Legion zones. Cash in quest to go there and pick up quest to raise flag or enter ruins as the case may be. Do quests taking you to the first major quest hub (Tulan or Tuldio) and all the quests inside of that hub. By now you should be at or near 50 and have half or more of the level 50 quest gear.

Return to Ambassador and ask to go to the capital if you haven't been there. Do the mayor's quest to visit 6 areas. Pick up weekly quests to do 30 instant adventures (there are three different IA weeklies this is the second) and four zone events. and any other quests you want to do.

Return to Ambassador and go to the adventure zone you didn't already go to. Do the quests through the first major quest hub to get the remainder of the starting level 50 quest gear and more experience.

You can queue for expert dungeons as soon as you hit level 50. Personally I prefer getting level 50 gear as noted above so I'm not embarrassingly useless but if you don't mind leeching feel free. Some groups will boot you though if you were too lazy to get even basic gear.

Queue for classic expert dungeons. Tank or healer will find queues popping faster. DPS or support will need to find other things to do while waiting. Such as tagging most of the portals in all the Storm Legion zones to make them easier to get to for later zone events.Experts will get you to 58.

At 58 or later pick up the quest near the mayor in Tempest Bay to go to the water plane. Go there - do quests as desired - and tag most of the portals. You can queue for experts again meanwhile. Experts can get you to 65. I find classic experts faster xp per minute than SLR experts even though the latter are higher level. They take too long and groups are more likely to fail them.

At 60 buy speed 150 mount if you can afford it (unless you can get speed 155 mount which is much more expensive).

When you get to the Draumheim zone visit Margle Palace and pick up the highest level weekly quests to do 30 IAs and do 4 zone events.

By then you will have seen various Nightmare Rift quest givers. NMRs are not essential but doing the NMR quest line will eventually open up a NMR weekly with rewards similar to other high end weeklies.

Note that starting at level 60 intrepid adventure reward chests give very good gear that can let you qualify for level 65 expert dungeons as soon as you hit 65. Yes IA experience is slower but you need the gear to take advantage of being 60 unless you can you have other ways to get it. That is also the main reason to do all those weeklies - for currency to buy high end gear.

The Planetouched Wilds (PTW) zone is a newer high level zone in Mathosia near Lantern Hook in the Draughtlands. It has a number of its own weeklies and zone events and is a very useful spot to have tagged the portals. Follow the main roads and you will get to or very close to the portals. This is another good thing to do while waiting for expert dungeon queues especially after you have a fast mount.

The PTW daily quests are opened up by doing many storyline quests but they aren't extremely useful. The weeklies are far more important and have no prerequisites other than level (somewhere around 62). You get them at the top of a series of ramps up north of the word Planetouched on the map.
