Bolt & Volt - why the disparity?

I'm a ding dong and bought Volt with my 350 Affinity and thought 'Gee, this mount sure doesn't seem to be going much faster than my old one?' Oh, derp, because it's not. Even though Bolt, right above Volt, costs the same amount and goes 155% speed, silly blue and silver version Volt only goes 60%.

Now, I accept that I failed to read the tooltip and just lost 350 affinity for a mount I really don't even like the look of, but why is Volt so slow for the same price as Bolt? Can Volt get a boost, please? Because right now you'd have to be a pretty big fan of blue - or bad at reading like myself - to get Volt.
