A few questions from a returning player

First of all, I am playing a 60 Rogue(marksman), and I can spend real money here, if I can get gear worth the $$$ that immediately makes me able to compete

1. how does the enslaved set(i think thats the name), from the in game store match up with the elite sets for end game pvp and raiding.

2. Where can I find a list of Gear sets along with stats for my class

3. Is this a dead game? Ive tried to join low level pvp, but quit after 30minutes
